Notes from the director…

I wrote this film as an hommage to my father… Like many children, it takes time to find the ideal dialogue (“dialogue idéal”) with your father. Sometimes a life is not enough…

My father is very reserved in his private life, but I knew that, back to his professional life, he was really enthusiastic. He was an electronic teacher and was very cool with his grown-up students.

That’s the male’s malediction (curse). Sometimes you cannot be as flamboyant at home that you are at work 🙂

That’s this contradiction, this mistery that I wanted to depict, behind the mask of a 10 minutes comedy. How a sleeping father will become almost mad (*), just to communicate with his son…

In cinema, It’s very difficult to show father/sons relationships. That’s probably the reason why James Bond never had children…
And in the movie « Into the Wild », Sean Penn shows some horrific relationships between the father and his son, maybe just for that the son can escape and discover the world…

When Einstein wrote his theory (E = Mc2), he knew that nobody would understand it but everybody will hear about it. My film is the opposite : it’s a modest story but I hope that everyone will connect with the little boy…
