Food first, then morals! A comedy about two couples in a stylish Berlin Tapas restaurant. Tension grows with each dish. All seems lost when the question “who waters your plants?” comes on the table.
Pol Ponsarnau (born 1980) is a Catalan director, living and working in Berlin. He studied Audiovisual Communication at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, and as an Erasmus Student at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts) in Prague. He directed Music Videos for Four Music/Sony and Warner Music, TV and online commercials for Fanta, Audi and Bimbo and co-directed the documentary “B-Side” that went to international festivals such as International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Since 2015 Pol has been working increasingly on fictional projects and shot his first two short films: ‘FOOD FIRST’, a comedic drama about relationships in a Berlin underground restaurant; and ‘ASPHYXIA’, a drama in which a woman finds a way back to life after the suicide of her boyfriend.
Pol is currently working on his first feature film projects; on the screenplay for his debut film ‘TARA AND THE BLUE’ and the fictional documentary ‘GOAT’, which is currently in the financing process.
