Laura Petrone and Guillaume Kerbusch are a couple of Belgian directors and actors. They both come from working-class backgrounds in La Louvière and Charleroi, in the Hainaut province of Wallonia. Their first two short films, “Seul avec elle” and “Rien Lâcher,” have been selected for several Belgian and international festivals. As producers, they established “La Belge Collection,” a series of four short films aimed at showcasing young actors. As part of this project, they received over 200 festival selections and around fifty awards, including the Magritte for Best Short Film in 2022 for “Sprötch” by Xavier Seron. They also created the Brussels Ciné Studio, where they organize camera acting workshops that connect filmmakers and actors, engaging more than 150 young artists each year.
