Shannon has directed for the Sydney Theatre Company, Schaubühne in Berlin, Belvoir St Theatre, Griffin Theatre Company,
The Ensemble, The Darlinghurst Theatre and Tamarama Rock Surfers. She is a Sydney Theatre Award winner, a recipient of the Mike Walsh Fellowship, winner of the Instyle and Audi Women of Style Scholarship and an awardee of the Screen Australia Talent Escalator Program. Named most influential NIDA graduate of the decade by Sydney Magazine, Shannon is also a recent AFTRS alumni. Her film Kharisma has screened at Cannes, Palm Springs, Flickerfest, Rhode Island, Byron Bay, Toronto and Kuki International Film Festival. In 2016 she directed Gluck’s opera Orfeo ed Eurdice at the Art Gallery of NSW. Theatre credits include the Victorian Literary Prize winner, Broken, by Mary Anne Butler for the Darlinghurst Theatre and Circle Mirror Transformation for the Ensemble Theatre Company. In 2016 Shannon directed the award winning Australian comedy drama, Offspring, and her latest short film, Eaglehawk, was selected for the 2016 Dendy Awards at the Sydney Film Festival and for the Melbourne International Film Festival. Eaglehawk stars Ryan Corr, Wayne Blair and Tilda Cobham-Harvey and is produced in conjunction with the production company she is a founding member of Dollhouse Pictures. 2017 TV credits include episodes of the Nine Network series Love Child and the Network Ten series Sisters.
