Director: Kirk Kelley; Producer: Louri Hammack; Art Director: Alan Cook
At the heart of “Până când nu te iubeam” is a Romanian love ballad of devastating beauty and ethereal loneliness. It is both apocalyptic and cyclical. The visuals for the piece are a weaving of several styles and imagery that keep repeating and circling back– stitched together by the repeating cords and melodies of the music. Performed by Pink Martini.
Kirk’s a big-gun Director, and not just because he’s a Texan. A multi-talented designer, storyteller and restaurateur, Kirk has directed and supervised many of our premier ad campaigns since 1995. Kirk is Supervising Creative Director for our fleet of M&M’S and Boom Beach content. He has also generated attention in recent years for his visually and technically innovative campaigns collaborating with agencies including Barton F. Graf 9000, TBWA\Chiat\Day’s Media Arts Lab, Amalgamated and BBDO Worldwide.
He has solid mastery over all storytelling mediums plus a wry sense of humor and a strong point of view. His sense of composition is fine-tuned and his timing’s right on the money. When he can, after sundown, he likes to sneak out back and work on short films.
His acclaimed experimental short film “Dia de los Muertos” combines stop-motion and CG characters, backgrounds and effects to create mysterious imagery that blurs the boundaries separating the living from the dead. The short screened at multiple animation festivals around the globe and garnered a Silver award at the New York International Independent Film Festival.
